The Troop 132 Philosophy

Posted on Oct 19 2015 - 11:42am

Troop 132 is based on the Patrol Method of scouting and is “Boy” led, with adult supervision for guidance and safety. Elections are held every 6 months for Senior Patrol Leader (SPL) and Patrol Leaders. Other positions are appointed by the SPL, with guidance from the Scoutmaster. The activities from camping to service projects are planned and run by the boys, as they learn what leadership style works best for them.  We have had 168 Eagle Scouts sprout from our ranks and have numerous Life scouts planning Eagle projects for the near future. Some of our Eagle scouts have returned and are serving as ASM’s for our troop. We have a troop bus, which allows us to travel together each month to our camping destinations, while keeping the costs down. We love parental involvement as is evidenced by the long list of ASM’s, committee members and merit badge counselors. We would love to add your son or grandson and you to our Troop family!
